CrossFit legend, impressive strength athlete and all round good guy Sam Dancer is an inspiring and forward thinking athlete and human. Open, caring and kind hearted, he is both an excellent coach and has competed at the highest level at the Sport of Fitness. He can help us all become better people and healthier, improved athletes. 

SAM DANCER ON EXCUSES 

“I rarely share this stuff but People think that It’s been easy for me. Like I just woke up and had all the health and fitness.

Well, I’ve weighed as much as 275, I’ve had asthma, hashimotos, arthritis, concussions, lots of concussions, I’ve had testosterone as low as 50 and more broken bones then I can count, torn muscles, ligaments, tendons, ADHD (which is a symptom IMO not a diagnoses, so doctors please stop giving kids drugs for it) I’ve been addicted to pain killers, Adderall, I’ve been beat up, sexually assaulted, lost my father, had some near death experiences being hit by a boat and nearly Hanging myself while climbing a tree, oh and I’m legally blind.

I have every excuse to quit and why I can’t do something. I hear it all the time my _____ fill in blank, my this, my that, STOP identifying yourself with all this bullshit. I would never blame any of these things for keeping me down. They were my teachers and I’m grateful for the learning experience. Take your losses, learn your lessons, stop making excuses and get off you ass. Today is the day. Now go get it, please.”
