NBC NEWS- U-Haul says it will stop hiring people who use nicotine in 21 states.
Those states allow an employer to decline to hire someone based on their nicotine use.
U-Haul will implement the policy February first.
The policy won’t apply to current employees.
People seeking U-Haul jobs in those states will be questioned about nicotine use.
In states where testing is allowed, applicants must consent to submit to nicotine screening to be considered for employment.
New FDA guidelines for nutrition labels
The FDA launched new rules for nutrition labels on your food January 1, 2020.
Along with a larger font, the labels will now have side-by-side columns.
One will show the nutritional information for a single serving, while the other would have the same information, but for the entire package.
Manufacturers are also now required to include the amount of added sugars.
