There’s only a couple days left until the new year and people are preparing to kick off 2020 with their resolutions.
“I think it’s good for them because it gives them a fresh start, a clean slate to start on their new goals,” said Caitlin Mizerak, Front Desk and Sales at Riverwalk Athletic Club.
Local gyms are starting to offer deals on memberships in January to kick those resolutions into gear.
Mizerak suggests finding a health club that suits you best from times of classes to types of workouts, and even child care.
Travis Gaska has been going to the Riverwalk Athletic Club for around 6 years and says he sees an increase of people coming to work on their goals in January.
“Give it your best effort cause you, know that’s all that matters. Trying to improve yourself, new year,” said Gaska.
According to Harris Interactive, 73% of people who make fitness-related resolutions give up before reaching their goal, so make your goals small and specific.
“Just finding a time that you know you can make it to the gym and maybe having like an agenda and writing it down and making sure it happens each day,” adds Mizerak.
