Kettering Health Network has expanded its property holdings in the Springfield area after securing a former Kroger’s building earlier this month.
The Kroger’s at 2300 N. Limestone St., closed earlier this year before being purchased by AMVO, an Ohio limited-liability company, in September for $2.2 million, according to the Clark County Auditor’s Office.

The property was transferred to Kettering Health on Dec. 4 week and is the second building this year to come in the possession of the hospital network.
It purchased the site of its Springfield Health Center at 2100 Emmanuel Way in August for $2.5 million. The decision came after the health network leased the space for more than a year.
In the months preceding Kettering Health’s decision to purchase that space, a number of specialists as well as services were added to the health center.

However, Kettering Health has yet to announce any plans regarding the former Kroger building now in its possession.
