Maintaining good health has always been our primary concern. However, we get a little time to look for ourselves in our busy lives. So, it is necessary to keep track of your health even when you are following a proper fitness schedule.
A fitness band is a gadget that will help you monitor the basic health parameters such as heart rate, calorie count, sleeping pattern, etc. It also keeps track of your activities by providing data when you are walking, running, doing a workout, or swimming. Hence, it is also called an activity tracker.
Another purpose that current generation fitness bands servers very accurately is displaying device notifications. You can check device notifications without having to take your smartphone out of your pocket.
Below we present a list of top five fitness bands available in India within a budget of ₹2,500.
1. Mi Band 4 (₹2,299)
Mi Band 4 was launched by Xiaomi in September this year. It is a complete value-for-money fitness band that provides all the necessary features such as heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, and the ability to track the number of activities such as treadmill, swimming, running, cycling, etc.

The capsule-shaped Mi Band 4 has a wider 0.95-inch screen with AMOLED display and resolution of 120 x 240 pixels. The brightness level on the screen is good enough to give you proper visibility even during the daytime. You can view call, text, weather, and app notifications in the band without touching the phone. The band also lets you control music, such as changing tracks and managing volume and set alarms. Mi Band 4 provides an awesome 20-day battery (135 mAH) backup on a single charge. It is also water-resistant up to a depth of 50 meters.
2. Samsung Galaxy Fit E (₹2,490)
Samsung Galaxy Fit E looks very similar to Mi Band and provides all the features that a fitness band offers such as heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, calorie count, step count, weather, and calendar widgets. The band has a 0.74-inch PMOLED screen with a monochrome display. It’s resolution (64×128 pixels) is not as impressive as Mi Band 4. The display doesn’t offer a touchscreen too, so you cannot swipe right or left to switch between the screens.

You would need four apps – Galaxy Wearable, Galaxy Fit Plugin, Samsung Accessory Service, and Samsung Health to use all the features in the band. You can set the alarm, calls, text, and WhatsApp notification via the Wearable app. Samsung Galaxy Fit E has a 70 mAh battery that lasts roughly up to 3 days on a single charge depending on the use.
3. Honor Band 5 (₹2,399)
Huawei launched the Honor Band 5 in August this year. It packs features that could give a tough competition to Mi Band 4 such as a 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen with color display and higher resolution (120×240 pixels). The band is enabled to track all the activities such as walking, running, swimming (yes, waterproof), etc. It is also capable of monitoring heart rate, sleep duration, workout regime (with nine workout options), and SpO2 blood oxygen level (which is absent in Mi Band 4). These apart, the band shows notifications related to calls, text, apps, etc. and lets you control music.

Honor Band 5 has a 100mAh battery that usually lasts up to 4 to 5 days on a single charge. However, if you lower brightness level and turn off some functioning, it can give you a battery back of up to 10 days.
4. Lenovo Spectra HX03F Fitness Band (₹1,999)
Lenovo Spectra HX03F Fitness Band is a more than a year-old device that offers all the fitness and activity tracking features such as step counter, heart rate monitor, sleep tracking, etc. You can use either of the Regular Mode or Sports Mode on the band to keep your activity levels on check.

Lenovo Spectra HX03F has a 0.96-inch OLED screen display with a resolution of 80×160 pixels. The display is not as bright and colourful as other bands in a similar range. The band is IP68 rated, which implies it is both water and dust resistant. It provides notifications on calls, texts, WhatsApp messages, etc. The 100mAh battery provides a good backup time of 4-5 days with normal use and up to 10 days with Regular Mode on a single charge.
5. Noise Colorfit 2 Fitness Band (₹1,699)
Noise Colorfit 2 Fitness Band is a recently launched device that offers all the necessary features at a reasonable price. It is capable of tracking the number of essential activities such as heart rate, step, sleeping, inactivity, menstrual cycle, and others. The band offers 14 sports modes that include walking, running, workout, bicycle, hiking, climbing, badminton, spinning, treadmill, football, basketball, tennis, yoga, and dancing.

The Noise Colorfit 2 has a 0.96-inch LCD colour screen that offers a decent but not excellent viewing in daylight. The fitness band is IP68 rated and hence water and dust resistant. It works up to a maximum water depth of 1.5 meters. You can view notifications for calls, text, and apps on the band but it drains the battery a lot. The 90mAh battery on the band lasts up to 5 days on a single charge.
