Mark your calendars for plenty of holiday shopping at the fourth annual Spirit of Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7, hosted by The Greener Side of Haven Inc. with all proceeds raised going to help animals and for a new animal sanctuary.
“We are also having a bake sale,” said Izzy Ragan, chair of the event.
This year, the bazaar has a new location at the Plantation on Crystal River, 9301 W. Fort Island Trail in Crystal River.
“The Greener Side of Haven Inc. is a nonprofit organization that fosters senior pets in need with medication and food in forever foster homes,” Ragan said.
“We also have a program called Seniors helping Seniors, for seniors who take senior dogs and we pay for their medical needs and food,” she added.
This year, they had 30 adoptions of pets.
There is no entrance fee to the bazaar. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is sponsored by the Citrus County Chronicle.
“This year, we are pigging-backing off the Crystal River Christmas Parade, which begins at 6 p.m., while our bazaar runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving people plenty of time to shop before the parade begins,” said Ragan. “Come look for some unique gifts at our bazaar for that special individual who is hard to find a gift for.”
