Library Tour: 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, the Isser and Rae Price Library of Judaica at the University of Florida. The St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society will meet at the Main Branch of the St. Johns County Library, 1960 N. Ponce De Leon Blvd., before driving to Gainesville. Rebecca Jefferson, the unofficial “The Jewish Librarian of Florida,” will lead the hour-long tour. After, guests will have an opportunity to examine the stacks in the 120,000-volume library. Global Warming Discussion: 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4287 A1A S. Donald Brandes will present “The Effects of Global Warming on Climate.” Brandes, a Florida native, has a Ph.D. in physical geography, with a specialization in climatology and natural resource management from the University of Florida. He later had a career in water resource management with the St. Johns River Water Management District, where he served at various times as water conservation program manager, assistant director of water supply planning, and assistant director of water use permitting.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, Memorial Presbyterian Church, 32 Sevilla St. The collection for the ninth annual event will benefit GlobalGiving(GlobalGiving.org) to help support the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian.
